Wine Tasting, Auction to Benefit Dementia Care at The Living Center

Event to Aid Creative Care Neighborhood at The Highlands at Pittsford Nursing Home

A Wine Tasting and Silent Auction benefit will begin at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at The Highlands at Pittsford to support innovative care aimed at improving the quality of life for residents with dementia. Proceeds from the event will help enhance The Living Center’s Creative Care Neighborhood at The Highlands, which incorporates advanced approaches in the care and understanding of nursing home residents with dementia.

The evening will feature world-renowned dementia educator Erin Bonitto, creator of many of the innovative approaches to dementia care provided at The Living Center. In partnership with her husband Chris, the Bonittos founded Gemini Consulting 10 years ago, spreading a unique approach to dementia care across the country.

News 8 Now/FOX First at Ten anchor Kevin Doran will serve as master of ceremonies for the event, which is in its second year.

The Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, done in partnership with Century Pittsford Wines, will be held at The Highland at Pittsford’s Hahnemann Club, 501 Stoutenburgh Lane, off Route 31 in Pittsford. Tickets are $30 per person, $50 per couple.
